Sculpture Artist Daylin Falcon Recreates Iconic Beetjuice Sculptures

In the span of the last couple of years, artist Daylin Falcon has undertaken an extraordinary creative journey. His mission? To faithfully recreate an iconic scene from the cult classic film "Beetlejuice." What makes this artistic odyssey even more intriguing is the story behind it, one that was sparked by a conversation about a friend's upcoming wedding. As his long-time best friend and fiancé delved into wedding planning, a rather unconventional idea was floated, one that would forever alter the course of their nuptials - a Halloween-themed wedding, with a special twist: a "Beetlejuice" theme.

Daylin Falcon, a craftsman with a knack for precision carpentry and a modest venture into the realm of arts and crafts, found himself captivated by this quirky vision. It was a project that demanded boundless creativity, as he set out to meticulously recreate all four of the iconic sculptures from the film, not to mention the eerie doorway that sets the stage for the unforgettable marriage scene.

This ambitious undertaking was not for the faint of heart. Daylin began this creative journey a year and a half before the much-anticipated wedding, pouring his heart and soul into every detail. He reflects on the challenge of the project, saying, "I've spent countless hours making these sculptures. It was a daunting task to get started, given that these sculptures are both abstract and massive. I had to unravel the enigma of making them look exactly like they did in the film, all the while ensuring they didn't weigh a ton."
